The Dimensity 9200 has a powerful GPU that manages to perform well consistently, but it's beaten by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 across the board. It's a lot closer than previous generations, though that shows how much of an improvement the G715 is.

0.3 gigahertz more at the highest clock frequency and 17 per cent more graphics performance: this is what Mediatek promises for its latest Dimensity 9200+ smartphone chip compared to the model without Plus. It should therefore be particularly suitable for gaming smartphones.

Given the clock speed of the primary CPU core, the single-core performance of the Dimensity 9300 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 should be similar. However, when it comes to multi-core performance, the Dimensity 9300 should be slightly ahead of the curve, which should help in tasks like multi-tasking and video rendering.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 is the first smartphone chip featuring the Arm Immortalis GPU with hardware-based ray tracing. Combined with HyperEngine 6.0 GPU Fusion Rendering capabilities, the chip greatly accelerates exciting new visual experiences in games.

Main con of Dimensity is that even if it is based on 7nm it heats more than Snapdragon. In a comparison test between Snapdragon 765G and 855 and Dimensity 1000+, it was found that while benchmarking CPU temperature hit 45–50C where was in Snapdragons it remained below 40C.
